The Atomic Dance Floor

The RSVP page nobody wanted to close. Beat-synced lights, a DJ booth, Judah in the sequin jacket, MJ on his toes, and an 8-bit Godzilla who still hasn't calmed down. Click anywhere for confetti.

What was said

The parts of the day that were spoken out loud, kept here in writing.

The kid of the hour

Through the years

The slideshow that played on a loop through the whole reception: fourteen years of Judah, from his first day on earth to the week of his Bar Mitzvah.

Thank you

You lifted him up.
Literally.

To everyone who traveled or just watched on the livestream, who joined us for services to watch Judah sing and pray and read from the Torah, who danced when the DJ said dance, and who hoisted a thirteen-year-old into the air: Thank You. Judah will remember this day for the rest of his life, and so will we.

Judah's mitzvah project

For his mitzvah project, Judah made a comic book for kids who are facing an upcoming hospital procedure. It walks young patients through how to get ready: what to pack, who to tell, and how to find out more about what's ahead. He partnered with PULSE and the kids of the Dr. Bill Neches Heart Camp for Kids at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, a community he knows personally and wanted to give something back to.
